Full Tilt Poker Overview (9.3/10.0):

Full Tilt Poker LogoFull Tilt Poker (www.FullTiltPoker.com) has been in the online poker market for thirteen years, and has made an immense impact and built a solid brand over that time. They are the second biggest poker site behind PokerStars, so you will never have to worry about finding a game.

The reason we have rated Full Tilt Poker as our #1 overall poker site is primarily because of their great software, and their extensive tournament lineup.

Full Tilt Poker Software (9.0/10.0):

Like I just mentioned, the software at Full Tilt is a big selling point. The software is available for download to both PC and Mac users, and both versions of the software offer the same features. The software at Full Tilt made our list of poker sites with the best software. The lobby has a clean layout, and allows you to filter tables based on game type (Ring Games, Tournaments, Sit & Go's), poker game (Hold'em, Omaha Hi, Omaha H/L, Stud, Mixed Games), game limit (Fixed Limit, Pot Limit, Mixed Limit, No Limit), and table stakes (Micro, Low, Medium, High).

So, imagine you were looking for a low stakes No Limit Hold'em cash game. You'd choose the options like this:

Full Tilt Poker Table Sorting

(Full Tilt Poker Sorting Tool)

Then, only No Limit Hold'em ring games with stakes between $0.10/$0.25 and $0.50/$1 would be displayed. This feature makes it extremely simple to instantly find the games you wish to play.

If you select Tournaments, you have even more options to help you find the perfect poker tournament. You can choose between Cash, Guarantees, Satellites, Face the Ace, FTOPS, Live Events, or Private. You can also sort the tournaments based on game type, limit, and tournament buy-in. Also, you have checkboxes to filter out tournaments that are either running or completed, so you only see upcoming tournaments that you can register for.

Once you're at a table, you'll be pleased to find that the clean, sleek layout is very similar to the lobby. Full Tilt Poker is one of the few poker sites that offer resizable tables, and you can also tile or cascade the tables to get your screen set up just how you like for multi-tabling. Besides just resizing, you can also change the table layout to either include or exclude player avatars, and can change the table theme to one of over twenty-eight combinations. With that many choices, you are sure to find a table look that suits your needs.

Full Tilt offers instant Hand Histories right at the table, which is a necessary feature for anyone who is doing multi-tabling. Another useful feature is that by default, bet sizes are displayed on the table, so you can do quick pot odds or implied odds calculations during a hand. Here are some other Full Tilt Poker features that we loved:

  • Single Click Deposit option that allows you to deposit right from the table without visiting the cashier.
  • Red tables in the lobby mean a Full Tilt Pro is sitting in, so you can find and play with your favorite Full Tilt Pros.
  • Additional Advanced Filters that allow you to sort to heads up, shorthanded, or full handed games, normal or speed games, deep stack games, and ante games.
  • Single click a table in the lobby to see every player who is sitting in, as well as their chips stacks.

Full Tilt really has some of the best software in the industry, and it is available for free at www.FullTiltPoker.com.

FullTiltPoker.com Promotions (8.8/10.0):

Full Tilt Poker offers dozens of promotions including their $600 sign up bonus, their Happy Hours, and their $100 Refer-A-Friend bonus. We will explain each major Full Tilt promotion now:

FullTiltPoker.com $600 Deposit Bonus

If you decide to sign up at Full Tilt Poker, you are eligible for their first deposit bonus (which we have rated as our top poker bonus). The bonus is a 100% match up to $600 - every dollar you deposit (up to $600) is worth an additional dollar in bonus money. When you deposit, your deposit amount will show up in your "Cashier", while the bonus money will show up in your "Pending Bonus" account. To play with the bonus money, you have to "clear" it to your Cashier.

USE FULL TILT REFERRAL CODE PSITEORG FOR YOUR $600 BONUS

To clear the bonus you have to earn a certain amount of "Full Tilt Points" (FTPs for short). Each Full Tilt Point is worth $0.06 towards clearing your bonus, and chunks of bonus money move from your Pending Bonus account to your Cashier in increments of $20, or 10% of your initial deposit (whichever is smaller). So if you deposit $500 and receive a $500 bonus, you will receive $20 increments of your bonus every time you earn 333.3 FTPs.

You have 120 days to clear your bonus money - after that, any remaining bonus money expires.

How to Earn Full Tilt Points

Players earn FTPs by playing real money ring games, tournaments, and sit and go's. Each player at a ring table earns one FTP for every $1 that is raked from the pot. You don't actually have to see a flop or play the hand - as long as you were dealt into the hand, you will receive FTPs if the pot is raked. Partial points are awarded, so if the pot is raked $0.75 each player will receive 0.75 FTPs. You can earn up to three FTPs per hand, because of the $3 maximum rake/hand.

In tournaments and sit and go's, you earn seven FTPs for every $1 you pay in tournament fees. So, if you enter a $100+9 multi table tournament, you will earn 63 FTPs ($9 entry fee x 7 FTPs).

Happy Hours

To accelerate your FTP accumulation, make sure to play at tables that have a smiley face next to them in the lobby. The smiley indicates that the table is currently in a Full Tilt Poker Happy Hour, meaning that you will either earn double or triple the normal amount of FTPs at the table. This is a limited time promotion that they are running, so make sure to jump on it quickly. Check out the below image to see how easy it is to find Happy Hour tables:

As you will find out later, FTPs are good or more than just clearing your bonus - you can use them to redeem prizes like TV's, laptops, iPods, golf clubs, and more. Learn more about FTPs and Full Tilt Rewards further down the page.

$100 Refer-A-Friend Bonus

Full Tilt allows players the opportunity to earn up to $100 each time they refer a friend to Full Tilt Poker. You can input your friends' emails into the Full Tilt Poker software, and they will automatically receive an invitation from Full Tilt Poker to create an account and start playing. If they sign up and deposit, you will both earn cash bonuses based on the following tiers:

Full Tilt Poker Refer a Friend

(Full Tilt Poker Refer a Friend Tiers)

As you can see, the more FTPs your friends earn, the more money you and your friends receive.

Full Tilt Poker Games (9.7/10.0):

Full Tilt Poker offers one of the most extensive lineups of poker games that we've encountered so far. They made our list of best poker sites for game selection. Besides just No Limit and Fixed Limit Texas Hold'em, they offer Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, 7 Stud, 7 Stud Hi/Lo, H.O.R.S.E., H.O.S.E., H.O.E, O.E., and H.A. (Hold'em and Omaha). In the mixed games, "E" stands for Omaha Eight or Better, also known as Omaha Hi/Lo.

Their NL Hold'em stakes range from $500/$1,000 to $0.01/$0.02 blinds. At this time, they only have two $500/$1,000 tables, and one of them is the "Ivey Deathmatch". This is a cool little idea that Full Tilt had, and it is a heads up table for any player who wants to challenge Phil Ivey in a high stakes heads up match. As you can imagine, when the game runs there are thousands of observers watching.

All other games start at stakes of either $0.01/$0.02 or $0.05/$0.10, and run up to between $500/$1,000 and $2,000/$4,000. Although games such as Razz and the Mixed Games are less trafficked then Hold'em or Omaha, you can still always find a game at the low-mid stakes, and even catch a few high stakes sessions from time to time. Full Tilt is one of the highest trafficked poker sites.

Rush Poker

Full Tilt just pushed their lead in the online poker world even further by launching a new poker variation called "Rush Poker". Players join a Rush Poker game by entering a player pool, and they are then randomly matched with eight new opponents every time they fold a hand.

As soon as you fold one hand you are whisked away from the table and immediately receive new cards. There is also a "Quick Fold" button that lets you leave the table before it is even your turn.

>> Click Here to Visit FullTiltPoker.com and Start Playing Rush Poker <<

Rush Poker requires a little different strategy than normal poker games because players tighten up immensely. Instead of sitting around to play a low pocket pair or perhaps King-Jack offsuit, players can fold and instantly receive a new set of hole cards. This makes it much more likely that the player across from you has a premium hand every time you are in a pot. Tighten up a little and you'll do just fine.

Full Tilt Poker Tournaments (9.6/10.0):

As I mentioned at the start of this review, poker tournaments are really where Full Tilt Poker excels. They have countless daily tournaments such as the daily $216 $30,000 Guaranteed at 18:00 EST or the $33 $14,000 Guaranteed at 16:30 EST. If you're looking for some real tournaments make sure to check out Full Tilt on Sundays, when they run their full slew of massive tournaments.

The first big Sunday tournament is the Sunday Brawl at 14:00 EST. This is a $100,000 Guaranteed tournament with a $256 buy-in. It is a bounty tournament, so every time you knock out another player, you receive a $40 bounty. This is a big favorite among the players, so check it out this Sunday.

After the Sunday Brawl, Full Tilt offers their marquee tournament at 18:00 EST, the $750,000 Guarantee. This is a $216 tournament that draws thousands of players each week, and always eclipses the $750,000 guaranteed prize pool. And don't worry, if you have bad luck in the Sunday Brawl and the $750K Guarantee, there is always the Sunday Mulligan later in the evening so you can get one more shot at a big win.

Full Tilt Rewards (9.3/10.0):

Full Tilt has a rewards program that is designed to supply their high volume players with free gifts and prizes. It is set up similar to PokerStars in the fact that players earn FPPs which can be redeemed in the Full Tilt Store for clothing, electronics, books, DVDs, luxury items, and much more. If you take advantage of Full Tilt's happy hour tables you'll accumulate FPP's, and in turn, rewards, much faster.

Full Tilt Poker Academy

Full Tilt Poker AcademyAnother cool feature at Full Tilt Poker is the Full Tilt Poker Academy. This is a free training website that helps teach players how to play better poker. You will get insightful instruction from poker pros such as Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, Phil Gorden, and Erick Lindgren. There are training videos (where you can actually watch the pros play their hands and discuss their methods), interviews, articles, and more.

To get started at the Full Tilt Poker Academy visit FullTiltPoker.com, create an account, and start learning. It doesn't cost anything to create a player account, so you can start learning for free.

Team Full Tilt

Team Full Tilt is one aspect that makes FTP really unique from other online poker sites. This "team" consists of fourteen major poker professionals that are partnered with FullTiltPoker.com, and play exclusively at their site. Some pros on the list include Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, and Jennifer Harman.

Best of all, you can actually play against Full Tilt Pros at any time. This is the perfect way to test your skill against the best of the best in an online poker game. To find a Team Full Tilt pro, just look for tables in the Lobby that are highlighted in Red. This means that a Full Tilt pro is at the table, so you can sit in with him/her to try your luck.

FullTiltPoker.com Support Team

Unfortunately, Full Tilt Poker only offers email support at this time. The support is 24/7/365, but we would like to see them add a phone number or a live chat option in the future. To contact the Full Tilt support team, you can choose from sixteen different email addresses, each of which will get you in contact with a special representative who can quickly handle your issue. We thought the Full Tilt support team was friendly and knowledgeable.
