The $1,000 bonus is a 100% match on a player's first deposit at the Sportsbook Poker site. Make sure to note that this bonus is only available for poker players, as there are separate bonuses available for casino and sportsbook bettors. Like I mentioned before, the Sportsbook.com site only accepts players from the USA and Canada, so if you're outside those areas you won't be eligible for this bonus.

Sportsbook.com's bonus is set up very similar to the Cake Poker sign up bonus because they are on the Cake Poker network. After making your initial deposit, your deposit money will go into your cashier, and your bonus money will go into a pending bonus account. Look at your Cashier to see your real money balance, and look at the Rewards section to see your Pending Bonus balance.

You can only play with your deposit money at the start, as you have to clear the bonus money into your cashier before you can play with it or cash it out. To do this, you have to earn a specified number of FPP's (frequent player points). Each FPP you earn will clear $0.06 of your bonus, and the bonus is released in increments of $10. So, to release one increment of $10 you need to earn 166.6 FPP's.

There are three ways to earn FPPs at Sportsbook.com - by playing real money cash tables, by playing real money sit and go's, and by playing real money tournaments.

» Earning FPPs at Cash Tables

Every time you are dealt into a real money pot that is raked, you'll earn FPPs. For every dollar that is raked, each player who was dealt into the hand will earn 1 FPP, regardless if they saw the flop or just folded. Also, partial points are awarded, so you will earn 1.6 FPPs if there is $1.60 raked. Remember that you don't have to actually play the hand to receive FPPs - every player who was dealt in is eligible to earn them.

» Earning FPPs in Tournaments and Sit and Go's

Also, you can earn FPPs in sit and go's and tournaments. For every $1 paid in tournament fees, you'll earn 7 FPPs. So, if you enter a $100+$9 tournament, you'll receive 63 FPPs. Fractional FPP's are also awarded here, so if you play a $2+$0.20 sit and go you'll receive 1.4 FPPs.

Players have 90 days to clear the bonus before any remaining bonus money expires.
