TwoPlusTwo (often referred to as "2+2") boasts over 100,000 members, almost 100,000 threads, and millions of total posts. I personally like TwoPlusTwo because the level of discussion at the site is advanced.
PokerStrategyForums.com - Tight Knit Strategy Forum
Another one of my friends owns PokerStrategyForums.com, and he has built a small but powerful community of online poker players. Although there are only 1,300 total members, the level of discussion at the site is pretty in depth, and a new player would certainly learn plenty by reading every thread on the website.

PokerForums.org ranks #1 in Google for the term "poker forums", and therefore has an enormous member base and a humongous post archive. PokerForums.org has 13,105 members, 30,104 threads, and 266,448 posts (at the time of this writing). The forum isn't quite as active as it used to be, but there are still new posts every hour.
